A smart home, made at home
Tap the light in 3D.
The real one turns on.
Smartoca draws your home in 3D and controls bulbs, plugs, TV, PS5, cameras and air conditioning, almost all of it straight over your home network, without going through the cloud. It started in one bedroom and now works for any home.
- Windows and phones
- Control over the local network
- Tuya local 3.3 and 3.5
Tap the lamp, the TV or the AC.
How it works
From scratch to a lit room in three steps
-
Build the home
Send photos and measurements to an AI to build the floor plan, draw it in the editor or start from the sample bedroom. Rooms, doors, windows, furniture and lights snap every 5 cm.
-
Bring in the devices
Tap +: the Bluetooth search finds the new device on a radar, or pick its category by hand. Whatever is already in Smart Life comes over at once with the QR login.
-
Control it over your home network
Once set up, Smartoca talks to each device directly over the local network. Scenes, automations by time and sunset, Siri, Shortcuts and a widget.
Phone
The whole app, ready to click
Everything here follows the real app, redrawn for the browser: from the welcome screen to the radar that finds a new bulb. Tap away, nothing leaves this page.
Welcome to Smartoca
Build your home in 3D and control bulbs, TV, cameras and more over your home network.

1. The home
2. The devices
3. Have Smartoca on a PC?
You can use Smartoca on the phone alone. The PC is optional and works as one more screen.

Home Wi-Fi
Check the Wi-Fi above. The arrow lists the networks the device can see.
If the device has Bluetooth, it shows up by itself in the search on the previous screen. This path is for Wi-Fi-only devices: while still on your home Wi-Fi, tap Start.
Leave the device blinking slowly. If it blinks fast, repeat the reset until it blinks slowly.
Open the phone's Wi-Fi settings, join the network that starts with SmartLife and come back here.

Tuya devices
Anything that works with the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app works here: bulbs, plugs, switches, sensors, IR hubs and more. Once set up, Smartoca talks to them directly over your home network whenever the device allows it.

No developer account needed. Copy the User Code from the Smart Life app (Me › Settings › Account and Security) and tap Sign in.
Smart Life
Scan this QR code with the Smart Life app itself. The login is only used to fetch the local keys; after that, signing out of Smart Life turns nothing off.

Create with AI
An AI that understands photos builds the 3D plan from your photos and measurements. You paste its answer here and fine-tune the rest in the editor.
Measure the room wall to wall: width, depth and ceiling height. Note where the door and the window are, measuring from a corner.
Take a photo of each wall, corner to corner, and one of the ceiling showing the lights.
Copy the prompt and send it to the AI along with the photos and measurements.
Loading the prompt…
When the AI answers, copy the code block and paste it here.

Bedroom 4.0 by 3.6 m, 2.7 m ceiling. Door on the bottom wall, near the left corner. Window on the right wall. Smartoca's prompt is attached.
Done! I built the bedroom with the bed against the door wall, the TV facing it and the desk on the left side.
Create with AI
Home built. Check it in the editor and fix whatever the AI got wrong.
Edit the home
Tap a piece of furniture, a light or a device to see its details. Everything snaps every 5 cm.
TV
For now, Smartoca only controls LG TVs with webOS, from 2014 onwards. The TV and the phone must be on the same network.
On the TV, open Settings › General › Network, open the connected network and find the IP address under Advanced settings.
To turn the TV on from the app, enable Turn on via Wi-Fi under Settings › General › Devices. The MAC address is under Support › TV Information.
Tap Pair. The TV shows a request on screen. Accept it with the remote.
Accept on the TV…
TV paired. It now shows on the dashboard.
PlayStation 5
Smartoca shows whether the PS5 is on or in rest mode. The Gaming scene turns the TV on at its input, and the PS5 wakes up too when HDMI Device Link is on under Settings › System › HDMI.
On the PS5, open Settings › Network › Connection Status › View Connection Status and note the IP address.
To keep it visible in rest mode, enable Settings › System › Power Saving › Features Available in Rest Mode › Stay Connected to the Internet.
Cameras
Use the same Intelbras DVR login you have on the PC. The password stays only on this phone.

Bring from the PC
On the PC, open Smartoca, go to Settings › Phone and tap Show QR code. Point the camera at the screen until all parts are collected.
Looking for the PC's QR code…
Everything came over from the PC: the home, the devices and the keys, in one go.
“Hey Siri, movie mode in Smartoca”
Windows
One window for the whole home
On the PC, the 3D fills the window with the panel beside it. Scenes and automations have their own screen, and Settings is where the phone scans the QR code to take the whole home with it.

Home
The 3D shows the home you drew in the editor.
Phone
Takes the home, the devices and the keys to the phone app, no file needed. The QR code carries the keys, so only show it to your own phone.
On the phone, tap I already set it up on the PC and point the camera here. There are 3 parts, and the QR code switches by itself.
Another PC
Export creates a .smartoca file with the home, the devices and the keys, encrypted with a password of yours. Importing it on the other PC brings everything, even the TV pairing.

Color, warm to cool white and brightness, with the lamp lighting up in 3D along with the real one.

Turns each channel on and off and shows the power draw when the plug measures it.

Air conditioner
Temperature, mode, fan speed and turbo, with the airflow blowing in 3D while it runs.
TV LG webOS
Power, inputs, apps, volume and a full remote. It pairs once, with a prompt on the TV.
PlayStation 5
Shows whether it is on or in rest mode and wakes up with the TV, already on the right input.
Cameras
Intelbras DVR channels live, in a grid or full screen. The camera drawn on the floor plan opens the right channel.
Scenes and automations
Gaming, Movie and Sleep come ready. Create more and run them at a set time or at sunset, minutes before or after.
Siri, Shortcuts and widget
Run a scene by voice, from a shortcut or straight from the phone's home screen.
Floor plan editor
Rooms, doors, windows, catalog furniture, lights and per-room views. A drawn light can turn on together with the real bulb.
Pixel art look
The original bedroom also exists in 2D, drawn pixel by pixel. Just tap Pixel in the 3D view.
From the PC to the phone
A QR code in parts carries the home, the devices and the keys. Between PCs, a password-encrypted file does the same.
No cloud in the way
Commands go straight over your home network
Once set up, a tap goes from the phone or the PC straight to the device. If the internet goes down, the bulb still turns on.
- Tuya's local protocol, versions 3.3 and 3.5: the same one Smart Life bulbs and plugs speak, without going through their servers.
- Device keys are stored encrypted: on Windows, tied to your user account; on the phone, in the system keychain.
- The internet only comes in to fetch the keys from the Smart Life account, activate a new device and read battery sensors.
- Two PCs and the phone can stay open at the same time without knocking each other off.

Questions
Before you ask
Does it need the internet?
Not day to day. Commands go straight over your home network. The internet only comes in to fetch the keys from the Smart Life account, activate a new device and read battery sensors, which don't stay on the local network.
Which devices work?
Anything that works with the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app: bulbs, strips, plugs, switches, sensors and more. On top of that, LG TVs with webOS from 2014 onwards, the PlayStation 5 and Intelbras DVRs.
Do I have to draw the whole home?
No. You can start from the sample bedroom, draw just one room in the editor or send photos and measurements to an AI to build the plan. The 3D grows with the home.
Does it work without a PC?
Yes. You can use Smartoca on the phone alone. The PC is optional and works as one more screen, and the QR code carries everything from one to the other.
When does it come out?
Soon. Windows and iPhone are furthest along, and Android comes after. Downloads will show up in the Download section.
